Beyonce & Alexandra!

It was around last year this time that Alex and Bee made their extremely MEMORABLE appearance together on the X-Factor. That performance still gives me goosebumps to this day! The two are still very much in contact, so I thought id shed some light on what the two are up to these days.. :-)

Alexandra Burke

In a previous post I told ya'll that Alex had flown sate side to shoot the video for her SECOND single 'Broken Heels'. These shots where taken on the set, and Alexandra is looking mighty cute in her American Football get up! The Red One produced track will be released on Janurary 11th 2010, and the video is set to premiere in about 2-3 weeks time. Like 'Bad Boys', my first reaction to the song isn't a good one. . . but I'm sure it will grow on me and will have the song stuck in my head. The video will supposedly have sum KILLER choreography so I can't wait to see it!

Like EVERY European artist, Alexandra is keen to break the U.S! Breaking into the U.S industry is probably one of the hardest and if achieved.. most rewarding career move for any artist. She recently spoke to The Mirror about Bee and achieving success in America:

ALEX ON CRACKING THE US:

“I want to crack America but I’m c***ping myself. Even Europe scares me. America’s a huge deal. In the UK everyone knows me because of the show but in America they have no idea who I am.

I won’t be annoyed if things don’t work like Leona Lewis. I’m giving this my all and I want to make it work.

But I’m different to Leona. I’m going to work my a**e off. I guess I started on the show being compared to her and now I’m back being compared. If they accept you they do, but if they don’t then they don’t.”

ALEX ON BEYONCE:

“Beyonce has lent me her choreographer. Frank worked with me for the video in LA last week and he’s helping me out with my live stuff. He’s out of this world and I want him to be in my life for ever. He’s given me a whole new identity as a performer.”

For those of you who don't know who Frank Gatson is, he is an artists DREAM choreographer!! All them bad ass moves you see Bee doing??? He's the man behind it! Such a good look for our Brit Alex...:-D

Over the weekend I watched ' Beyonce: I AM YOURS (Thanksgiving TV Special) ' and Ive never felt more inspired, more proud and more completely amazed by Beyonce! Her work ethic is like NO OTHER ARTIST!! When you watch the video below you will understand why I say this. You can hate on her, not like her music or even disagree with the way her camp do business. . . but if you can't agree with the fact that she is simply THE BEST ENTERTAINER OUT RIGHT NOW - then you clearly need to miss me with all that hater shid!!!

The TV special is a mix of the behind the scene footage and her performances in vegas, you get to see:

• Her messing around with her hubby Jay-Z
• The effort her and her band put in ever night
• What goes into planning a show
• Her effortless performances of Halo, Single ladies .. etc

I LOVED the way she switched up some of the vocal arrangements on the songs, but still kept it current! -sigh-..... Beyonce you deserve all the success, WELL DONE FOR COMING SO FAR!

In other Beyonce news, she has spoken about a possible new musical direction for her next album.When asked if there was anyone else left she'd like to record with, B replied:

"Oh, where do I begin? There’s so many people I’d like to work with still, but I’d like to maybe go outside of the box. My sister [Solange] has put me on to bands like [indie group] Of Montreal and some other different types of artists. I would love to do something like that on my next album"

I dont actually think Beyonce will stop until she's done every genre of music possible LOL!! Workaholic indeed :-D

Beyonce ft/ Lady GaGa - Video Phone (Extended remix)

Ive been waiting like an extra week to see this video, and I wasn't left disappointed or extra happy after watching it. I don't feel the video has shown ANY type of growth! It looks like a video from the 'B'Day' collection - so who ever edited this or chose the direction, I feel they could have produced a much better video on a whole.
Having said that, B is a bad bish and kills it every time! I enjoyed the colour backdrops & different fierce outfits. The break down with lady gaga was dope too. I LOVEEE B .... & this video is Sexyy and fierce. But I feel like I wanted a lil more than that from her this time around.......

Alicia Keys - Try Sleeping with a broken heart



Alicia Keys is known for her video's with a story line, and this is another one to add to the stack! I actually really liked the song when I first heard it,and after seeing the video.. I'm kinda left nodding and saying "that was nice". I got the concept of being a super hero and still having a a broken heart.. the lil girl's dog died and she healed the girls broken heart.. and so on and so on. Although she looks effortlessly beautiful as usual, everything was just "nice" about the video and the song. Nothing HOT or FIERCE........ But maybe sometimes a lil nieceness is needed?

Shakira ft/ Lil Wayne - Give it up to me



I lubbsss me some shakira! Some people don't really get her or her voice, but it's just different and I like that about her. You can tell that this video was quickly put together if I'm honest..... The catchy Timberland produced track, has been added to her album listing at the last minute - I think her record company made a smart decision! I'm so over hearing wayne on EVERYONES track now.....the choreography was good, the song is catchy..... a solid effort from Shakira.

Rihanna says it's that time again, 'THE WAIT IS OVA'!

Ri Ri is FINALLY back to her day job! If you forgot what that was, she's a recording artist (lol). Her Label Def Jam went in to promo overdrive this week, with news of her album plans. Rihanna released details via her Official Twitter, that 'THE WAIT IS OVA' will be released November 23rd.

She has had MORE THAN enough time, so I'm hoping that Ri Ri's album will be a solid effort from the popstar! Ive never really been disappointed with her singles anyway... excited to see what she can deliver! According to numerous reports, she has been working with Justin Timberlake, Tyson Ritter of the All-American Rejects, Drake, Ne-Yo, Akon and more.

On Tuesday (October 13th), she was seen heading to a recording studio in NYC. The singer sat down to dinner with Jay-Z, before heading out to lay down some tracks.

Last week she was spotted shooting the art work & cover for her forthcoming album in Berlin!

Beyonce & Lady Ga Ga Team Up!

Beyonce was already in full swing and set to release ANOTHER single from her album 'I am.. Sasha Fierce'. But now Bee is teaming up with Lady Ga Ga for the video for her single 'Video Phone'!

Two of music’s biggest divas, Beyoncé and Lady Gaga, are joining forces for Beyoncé’s upcoming single, “Video Phone.” “On Oct. 7, Lady Gaga and Beyoncé were working on the video together at a studio in NYC,” an insider reveals exclusively to Life & Style. “Everything on the set was being kept very hush-hush, and security was extremely tight.”

Both Beyoncé, 28, and Lady Gaga, 23, are known for their showmanship and elaborate costumes, and this joint venture shouldn’t disappoint. “In the video,” says the insider, “Beyoncé wears a feathered dress. And of course Lady Gaga wears something wild. The fashion is sick and insane.” - Life & Style Magazine

This is defo an interesting one! To me they're both at the peak of their games, and lord knows they come with the fierce style when it comes to videos... hmmm this is one to watch. I'll keep you posted!

Robin Thicke Album News!

Ahhhh you do not understand how excited I am about this news! I love me some Robin Thicke, and have been waiting on some new material for a HOT MINUTE. The singer's fourth studio album will be titled 'SEX THERAPY', and is slated be to released December 8th!

According to various sources, the 'Lost Without You' star has worked with Palow The Don, Jeff Bhasker, Scott Storch, and Surf Club on 'SEX THERAPY', which he describes as “different than anything I’ve ever done before.”

Oh My Dayum: 'Mathew Knowles Is My Baby Daddy' + Trey Puts it on the ladies!

A 30 something year old LA resident Alexsandra Wright (above) has filed a paternity suit claiming Beyonce and Solange’s daddy Mathew Knowles is HER baby’s daddy. And nope–the woman aint Mama Tina. According to TMZ:

We’ve learned Alexsandra Wright filed the case in L.A. County Superior Court. Wright lives in L.A. — she works in the name-branding business. We’re told she’s in her late 30s.

Wright, who is 6-months pregnant, filed the case last week, alleges Knowles is the father. Sources say Wright is repped by Neal Hersh, who is currently repping Lamar Odom in the prenup negotiations with Khloe Kardashian.

Quiet as kept, there have been rumors for a few years now that Tina–his wife of almost 30 years–and Mathew are separated, but not divorced. And there’s been rumors that Papa Knowles is indeed a Rolling Stone. So this paternity claim isn’t all that surprising. But still. Aint this some ish? I guaran-damn-tee you Tina’s got her bedazzler gun and wig glue on deck if either of them try to jump extra crazy though…-YBF

Trey Songs gave all the ladies a show this past weekend in Atlanta for homecoming(Oct 4th). I swear the best thing Trey did was to cut off his braids... put him in a WHOLE new light.... yummm!!

Beyonce gets BillBoards WOTY award + Solange covers HONEY mag!

A few months ago, Billboard announced that the award winning wongstress (Beyonce Knowles) would recieve the coveted Woman Of The Year Award.

Billboards 4th Annual Women In Music event finally took place on October 2nd, in NYC. Bee arrived looking happy and cute in her ll light blue dress!Small recap of the event below:

Werde then introduced Billboard’s 2009 Woman of the Year recipient. “It is theoretically possible someone on some other planet had a better year than Beyonce,” he quipped. “But I’m not buying it.”

Beyonce then took the hot seat alongside radio personality and Oprah’s best friend Gayle King, for a Q&A during which she was probed about her relationship with husband Jay-Z, her position as a role model for young women, and her goals for the future. “I really want to win an Oscar,” she revealed. On her Parents:
It’s interesting that people think that my dad is the one who’s all strict. They build up quite a character with that guy, and at the end of the day it’s my mom who’s going to give you the neck roll.

On her new album:
It was definitely a concept record. I was really inspired by the ’60s and ’70s sound, mixed with electronic sounds and how to mash those together. With this record I am experimenting more with a really interesting mix of music. My describing it probably sounds crazy but I’m kind of working with tribal, Native American drums and mashing them with weird ’80s and blues.

On if she’s dating rapper Wale:
Well, he’s definitely not my boyfriend, but we are good friends. I have worked with him in the past and I think he’s uber-talented. I think he’s really smart and really creative. And I respect his art. We have a mutual thing. We’re on the same record label and yeah…[Source]

DC2 - Beyonce & Kelly Sitings!

Mrs Carter was spotted with Lewis Hamilton, who was giving the 'Single Ladies' star a tour of the McLaren Mercedes garage, before qualifying for the Singapore Formula One Grand Prix! Lewis's boo Nicole Sherzinger (PCD) later joined them at the Marina Bay Street Circuit(Sept 16th/Singapore). Beyonce looks cute in her lil racing get up, she is CAKED with make-up tho... shudda put the M.A.C down a few minutes before finish....:-/

Bee also went onto perform yesterday at F1 ROCKS CONCERT also in Singapore (Sept 27th), sum of the pix below. She defo needs to holla @ the salon for a new weave!

Although Kelly Rowland has failed to secure a successful solo career in the U.S, she is MOS DEF making waves over here in the U.K and Europe. Kelly took to the stage (with David Guerra) to perform their Club/Dance hit as part of Orange Rockcorps at the Royal Albert Hall in London (Sept 25th). Hmm I haven't seen her and Bee actually together in AGES...Well not since Kelly split from her management (Bee's Dad - Matty) hmmmm...lol

My days these celebs move fast! Kelly was spotted today in Milan - Italy! She attended the DSquared2 fashion show at the Milano Fashion Center as part of Milan Womenswear Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010 (Sept 28th).She looks naturally pretty here, loving the hair and the big shades!
