Life After X-Factor - Alexandra Burke & JLS

2008 X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke looks STUNNING on the set of her new video for "All Night Long" ft/ Pitbull. I dont have too many kind words to say about the song im afraid, butttt she is looking very fierce in these shots! I met Alexandra a few months ago, when my friend was the opening act for her concert in Scotland. Everyone always asks me is she like she is on TV? The answer is YES. Just as mad, just as crazy lol.

Life after the X-Factor seems to be going well for Alex. According to reports she's re kindled with an old flame/friend from her past! A 'close friend' is reporting that Alex is very much boo'd up with dude, and has flown him back and forth a few times , (peep the pic below)... HOWEVER if we believed every close friend that popped out the woodwork Jay-Z would have boned a monkey, Alicia Keys would be married to her second cousin and Kanye West would be gay. . . . I admit the last one could be a possibility . #Imjustsayin

Aston took a break from recording at Sony Studios, & was spotted last week (April 15th) getting some food from burger king in LA. His bandmate Ortise was with him, but managed to avoid the camera's . JLS were the runners up on the 2008 X-Factor show - But they are showing that their far from SECOND best! The lads are currently in LA working on new music for their follow up album. Say what you want about JLS they are 'doin dis ting' right now. Signing a multi million deal with Jive records, a sold out tour, a gold disk album AND a Brit. . . *claps* Well done boys.

And for those of you who didnt know, YES it is true and not just a rumor. Mavin Humes is officially dating Saturday's lady Rochelle Wisemen. I think they look cute together . . .

Beyonce & Alexandra!

It was around last year this time that Alex and Bee made their extremely MEMORABLE appearance together on the X-Factor. That performance still gives me goosebumps to this day! The two are still very much in contact, so I thought id shed some light on what the two are up to these days.. :-)

In a previous post I told ya'll that Alex had flown sate side to shoot the video for her SECOND single 'Broken Heels'. These shots where taken on the set, and Alexandra is looking mighty cute in her American Football get up! The Red One produced track will be released on Janurary 11th 2010, and the video is set to premiere in about 2-3 weeks time. Like 'Bad Boys', my first reaction to the song isn't a good one. . . but I'm sure it will grow on me and will have the song stuck in my head. The video will supposedly have sum KILLER choreography so I can't wait to see it!

Like EVERY European artist, Alexandra is keen to break the U.S! Breaking into the U.S industry is probably one of the hardest and if achieved.. most rewarding career move for any artist. She recently spoke to The Mirror about Bee and achieving success in America:

ALEX ON CRACKING THE US:

“I want to crack America but I’m c***ping myself. Even Europe scares me. America’s a huge deal. In the UK everyone knows me because of the show but in America they have no idea who I am.

I won’t be annoyed if things don’t work like Leona Lewis. I’m giving this my all and I want to make it work.

But I’m different to Leona. I’m going to work my a**e off. I guess I started on the show being compared to her and now I’m back being compared. If they accept you they do, but if they don’t then they don’t.”

ALEX ON BEYONCE:

“Beyonce has lent me her choreographer. Frank worked with me for the video in LA last week and he’s helping me out with my live stuff. He’s out of this world and I want him to be in my life for ever. He’s given me a whole new identity as a performer.”

For those of you who don't know who Frank Gatson is, he is an artists DREAM choreographer!! All them bad ass moves you see Bee doing??? He's the man behind it! Such a good look for our Brit Alex...:-D

Over the weekend I watched ' Beyonce: I AM YOURS (Thanksgiving TV Special) ' and Ive never felt more inspired, more proud and more completely amazed by Beyonce! Her work ethic is like NO OTHER ARTIST!! When you watch the video below you will understand why I say this. You can hate on her, not like her music or even disagree with the way her camp do business. . . but if you can't agree with the fact that she is simply THE BEST ENTERTAINER OUT RIGHT NOW - then you clearly need to miss me with all that hater shid!!!

The TV special is a mix of the behind the scene footage and her performances in vegas, you get to see:

• Her messing around with her hubby Jay-Z
• The effort her and her band put in ever night
• What goes into planning a show
• Her effortless performances of Halo, Single ladies .. etc

I LOVED the way she switched up some of the vocal arrangements on the songs, but still kept it current! -sigh-..... Beyonce you deserve all the success, WELL DONE FOR COMING SO FAR!

In other Beyonce news, she has spoken about a possible new musical direction for her next album.When asked if there was anyone else left she'd like to record with, B replied:

"Oh, where do I begin? There’s so many people I’d like to work with still, but I’d like to maybe go outside of the box. My sister [Solange] has put me on to bands like [indie group] Of Montreal and some other different types of artists. I would love to do something like that on my next album"

I dont actually think Beyonce will stop until she's done every genre of music possible LOL!! Workaholic indeed :-D

X-Factor Round Up!

Last night (Nov 29th), the British public finally voted out Wales teen singer Lloyd Daniels! With no sing off or bottom two, he was cut short of the semi finals. This year has been a disappointment in my eye. . . Last year had some amazing vocal talent and the show was just more exciting on a whole! However they have managed to pull in some power house acts for the Sunday Results show....

Rihanna performed her latest dark single 'Russian Roulette' for an excited x-factor crowd! I felt her vocals sounded pretty much THE SAME as the track - however when she needed to belt out the big notes.... she fell flat! As much as I love me some Ri Ri, her LIVE performances are seriously putting me to sleep ... ZzZzZzZ. She looked AMAZING, but sitting her ass in that chair for most of the song, and then kind of walking up and down the stage isn't doing it for me. Ive seen this performance by her like 6 times already........ N E X T!

UK CHART NEWS:
Rihanna's HIGHLY anticipated album 'RATED R' has entered the UK charts at #16. Selling a lacking and disappointing 32,000 copies in the UK! <----- WTH? damn....

Alicia Keys also performed last night. Like she said she gave us " a mini concert ", and performed ‘Empire State of Mind’, ‘Doesn’t Mean Anything’ and ‘No One’. Vocally she was very ON POINT as usual, but didnt WOW me. She looked great too - such a beautiful talented woman, with a good aura about her. Like someone on my facebook said... 'Only AK can rock a red leather cat suit and look GOOD!' HA HA HA :-)

What's Poppin In The UK?

How did I miss this? Hooooowwwwwww did I flaming miss this! I live literally 20 minutes away from Westfields and a miss another appearance lol ZAMMIT!

Mariah Carey was spotted turning on the Christmas Lights @ Westfield's Shopping Centre in London yesterday (Nov 19th). The singing fan fav supposedly sang a few of her tracks, then turned on the lights for shoppers! Awww how lovely... I was telling my friend the other day while we shopped in Westfields (ironically lol), that when I think of Christmas .. Mariah's "All I want For Christmas" sticks out in my head the most!! Just gives you that Christmassy feeeeeel... :-)

So as many of you already know, this years X-FACTOR has been (to put it quite honestly) SHIT! Maybe because last year had such a good overall group of TALENTED singers.... this year's group look even worse! I have refused to watch the show anymore to contribute towards the shows 14m viewers...... so now I just watch it on Sunday on Youtube LOL!
It has been officially confirmed that Bajan born RIHANNA will be performing 'Russian Roulette' on the results show! As will NY beauty ALICIA KEYS - the star will perform her single 'Doesn't mean anything'.So not this Sunday, but the next one...... Looks like it's Sky Plus Time!

SUNDAY 29TH - THE X-FACTOR RESULTS SHOW - RIHANNA & ALICIA KEYS

Alexandra Burke is heading stateside again, to film the video for her brand new single 'Broken Heels'. She was spotted arriving at Heathrow airport with her crew yesterday (Nov 19th). The X-Factor star has also revealed that she wants to start touring "as soon as possible"... Hmmmm not too sure about that move, it is pretty early in her career! However touring makes an artist the most money, so GO MAKE THAT PAPER!

The ORIGINAL Sugababes set to reform?

As most of you know by now the current 'Sugababes', no longer have any founding/original members left in the group. The rumors of reforming come a few weeks after FOUNDING member Keisha Bunchanan was kicked out of the group - and replaced by Euro vision singer Jade Ewen.

According to Holy Moly the original line up ( Siobhan,Mutya & Keisha) are planning to reform and come back together as a group!! It's been said that Mutya has gotten back in contact with Siobhan who is some what reluctant about the reform, but is willing to hear her out. They've also been to their THIRD meeting with the record label to discuss future plans. If all of this really is happening then I CANNOT WAIT for all the madness to unfold!! :-D..... Happy Daysss.

Rachel Adedji To Work With JLS writers!

-Says it like the man on X-Factor- RAACCHEEELL ADDEDDJIIII is set to work with JLS writers some time in the future! The London native was booted off the X-Factor two weeks ago, after being in the bottom two TWICE BEFORE. Although Rachel had one of the best SINGING voices in the competition, viewers just weren't getting her as a person.
Rachel let slip in an interview that the JLS boys had informed her that Daniel Bullard (who wrote 'Beat Again'), wanted to work with the quirky styled singer ASAP! She better not come out with that cheesy crap.... anywho, we wish her nothing but the best!

JLS top the Charts with 'Everybody In Love'!

Middle of the road Boy Band sensation 'JLS' are once again at #1. JLS have made history as they are the ONLY act this year to have TWO singles sell over 100k in it's first week! Considering the runners up on X-Factor often go straight back to their day job, it's actually worked in their favour that they came second - they're doing SO WELL. Ive had my doubts about their material, and the fact that they've gone pop mainstream.... But I do give credit where credit is due and their doing an excellent job of proving people wrong! JLS can also add another line to their resume, as their tour is now officially SOLD OUT. Well done boys :-)

Joss Stone 'Lily Allen Is Not A Singer'

Soulful UK singer Joss Stone revealed to the papers that she doesn't think Lily Allen is a 'Singer'. The 22 year old released her album 'Colour Me Free' last week Monday after a long messy battle with her record label! She insisted that artists should just accept the fact that their music will be downloaded, and that they should make their money from touring instead.

"She (Lily) needs to sell records because she's not a singer, and that's not an offence to her because I think that she knows that too," she told The Mirror.

"I think she's a performer and she's more of a personality than she is a singer. But I think when musicians are really making real music people come to the show and that's what we make our money from, from playing live.

"I think it's probably harder for an artist like Lily and any other pop acts. It's really about the track and about their personality and their celebrity and that's how they make their money is selling those records.

"So the downloads - she's not going to win that fight. None of us will win that fight. So let's just accept it and let's see it as something that can be beautiful and it might change music for the better. It might sort the weeds from the flowers."

Allen was supported and backed by some songwriters/artists to stop the illegal download of music.

I forgot about Joss for a hot minuteeee. I actually really liked some of her stuff, she has a nice tone to her voice! Ya'll remember this?

Alexandra Burke is looking sexxaayy on the latest cover of 'Flavour' Magazine! The Sept/Oct issue interviewed Alex on: living her dreams, meeting Beyonce, being a london girl and more!

Alexandra speaking about Cheryl Cole: " Everytime I've got a problem, I'm ringing her and she's the one that advises me on things to do. "

Alexandra on meeting Beyonce again: "In the studio in New York I remember singing and opening my eyes...And my girl Beyonce was standing there. I went to cuddle her and I cried. She said 'You can't cry - we're friends now,' and I cried some more!"

X-Factor Face Off - Alex vs Cheryl!

Cheryl Cole & Alexandra Burke are set to go head to head in the Album charts! Cheryl Cole who mentored Alex in the 08 win of X Factor, has has to go up against one of her girls. The Girls Aloud star announced that her solo project will be released on the 23rd of October... the same day as Alexandra's!

" If releasing her album the same day as Burke wasn’t enough, the Girls Aloud star could also knock Alexandra’s debut single Bad Boys off the number 1 spot as the X Factor winner releases her single the week before Cheryl on 12^th October." -mtv.co.uk

Either way I know Chezza will be happy for Alex and vis versa, no matter who comes out ontop!
Yesterday Cheryl had the net buzzing with the release of her solo single " Fight For This Love". The record sounds very personal, and may be reflection of how she feels about her relationship with hubby Ashley Cole. So far there have been mixed reviews towards Cole's single....Heres my HONEST opinion about it:

"Fight For This Love" Opinion:

Cheryl Cole's beauty and stella moves are undeniable! She also has a great warm hearted ora about her. I've thought this from the beginning and still think it now -Nadine Coyle carries the rest of the group VOCALLY.I didn't like the song straight away, I had to listen to it a few times to really get into it... and I think it's a 'GOOD' effort for her first solo single. Will it go to #1? Probably yes. Will she break the US with the single? Probably not. Cheryl has an 'Okay' voice.... she's not AMAZING and she's not TERRIBLE.

I love Girls Aloud collectively as a group, but VOCALLY Nadine has the voice to go further than Cheryl. The only reason she might not... is because Cheryl gets MUCH more publicity than she does. I think Nicola also has the potential to go solo if she really wanted too... she has a lovely voice.

It really annoys me when FANS can't be real! Just because you love someone doesn't mean what they do is always gonna be great. The song is 'Okay' for what it is.... but I have a feeling she has better songs on her album. Look forward to hearing them!

X Factor Double Take? - B.Knight does some shopping!

So the Mail Online are claiming that the woman above, (Stacey Solomon) bares a striking resemblance to Mrs Cheryl Cole. Ummm are they blind? She looks NOTHING like Cheryl if I'm honest!(Not that she's not pretty, I just think Cheryl Cole has an distinct beauty ANNNDD the fact that they don't look alike :-|). The 19 year old stepped onstage and apparently had the audience and the judges on her side from the moment she started singing.

Simon told the teenager: "Stacey, I am rarely surprised but that took me by surprise. You are really good."
Cheryl Cole added: "I had a preconceived idea of what you might sound like. I didn't expect you to be that good."

I am soooo excited about the Xfaxtor returning tomorrow (whoop! - August 22nd ITV1).For those of you who don't already know, the show will take a new format this year with a live audience for the auditions. Beverley Knight, Britains arguably most talented Soul Singer was seen doing some shopping at Lipsy the other day! This is the second Lipsy sighting as Alesha Dixon was seen there previously. I really loved Bev back in the 90's! She had some really GOOD music out.. hmm wonder when she's gonna have some good new material? Anyway she looks cute in her lil dress, the shoes are cute too!
